Six men arrested over Walsall murder

Police have arrested six men as they continue enquiries into the murder of Bailey Atkinson in Walsall town centre.

They detained two men - aged 19 and 20 - after stopping a vehicle in Leamore last night (6 February).

They were arrested on suspicion of Bailey’s murder and remain in police custody today for questioning.

They also detained four men - aged 18, 20, 21 and 25 - from an address in Worcester during the early hours of this morning.

They were also arrested on suspicion of murder and have been taken into police cells where they will be questioned.

Bailey was attacked on the High Street during the early hours of 28 January. He was taken to hospital, but died of his injuries.

A post-mortem revealed the 20-year-old, from Bloxwich, had died of multiple stab wounds.

Police have already charged three boys - two aged 16 and another aged 15 - in connection with his murder.
