Signature event of Coventry City of Culture set to be moved

We're expecting a decision today on whether the date of the signature event of Coventry City of Culture will be changed today.

Organisers had said 'Coventry Moves' was taking place on the 15th of May, to start the year of celebrations.

We understand they now want to move it to a new date in June. It's currently unclear why that's the case.

Meetings are being held later today, which are expected to confirm this decision.

We understand the official start date of City of Culture will not change though, with a different event set to mark the occasion instead on the 15th of May.
