Seven arrested after Wolverhampton kidnapping

Police said two people were found safe and well after two cars were stopped by officers.

Seven people have been arrested after two people were kidnapped in Wolverhampton.

West Midlands Police said the pair were found safe and well when two cars were stopped in the city overnight.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, West Midlands Police Traffic posted:

"Working with other resources we responded to a live kidnapping in Wolverhampton which ended with us stopping 2 cars resulting in the safe recovery of the 2 victims & the arrests of 7 offenders plus the recovery of weapons & cash."
