Second youth charged in relation to Ian Kirwan's death

A 15-year-old male has been charged with murder and is due to appear at Kidderminster Magistrates Court

Officers investigating the death of Ian Kirwan in Redditch have this morning (Friday 8 April) charged a second youth with his murder.

A 15-year-old male has been charged with murder and remanded in custody, and is due to appear at Kidderminster Magistrates Court later.

The charge relates to an incident on Jinnah Road on Tuesday 8 March that led to the death of 53-year-old Ian Kirwan from Redditch.

A 14-year-old male charged with murder has already appeared at Worcester Crown Court on Monday 14 March.

A further 10 youths were previously arrested in connection with Ian Kirwan’s murder. Three of the youths have been bailed and seven released with no further action.
