The charge stated that Piatt-Green tried to get two fragmentation grenades "in circumstances that give rise to a reasonable suspicion that he would not have them in his possession for a lawful object".

The defendant, of Fulbrook Close in Redditch, entered his plea at the Old Bailey today.

Mr Justice Jeremy Baker adjourned sentencing until June 9 at the Old Bailey.

The defendant was remanded in custody.
