West Midlands Police has started a murder investigation after a man died in Wolverhampton yesterday (29 May).

Officers were called to Tettenhall Road where a man in his 40s was found with serious head injuries. Sadly, nothing could be done to save him.

The force said it is in the early stages of its enquiries, but detectives believe it followed disorder in the area. A scene remains in place between Haden Hill and Clark Road while they seek to establish exactly what happened and why.

Detectives are examining CCTV and carrying out house to house enquiries and they are appealing to speak to anyone with information.
