Police investigating 'unexplained' death of man in Wolverhampton

The man was found lying in the road in the early hours.

Police are investigating the death of a man who was found lying in the road in Wolverhampton.

Officers were called to Old Hill, Tettenhall just before 4am (28 April).

Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the man, in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers are working to establish what happened, and are treating the death as unexplained.

The road remains closed this morning while enquiries continue.
