Police hunt for victim of shooting in Birmingham

Police are searching for the victim of a suspected shooting in Birmingham last night.

Shots were fired from a dark coloured car on Westhorpe Grove just before 7:30pm.

It's thought someone was hurt but police have yet to trace them. The suspected victim ran off in the direction of Mosborough Crescent and was picked up in a car.

Local hospitals have been told to look out for anyone with suspected gunshot wounds.

Detectives and forensic officers have been at the scene and are searching Mosborough Crescent, Westhorpe Grove and Great King Street for evidence.

CCTV footage is also being examined in an attempt to identify any suspects.
