A teenage boy who was in hospital with critical injuries has passed away following a car crash in Nuneaton on Friday 26 January.

It happened shortly before 9pm and involved a silver Ford Fiesta, which had a driver and four passengers in it.

The driver, 17-year-old Joshua Jempson, was taken to University Hospital in Coventry under emergency blue light conditions.

Emergency services attended the scene and treated the four passengers for minor injuries.

Joshua had been in intensive care after the vehicle he was driving left the road suddenly along the B4111 Nuneaton Road heading towards Mancetter.

Warwickshire Police is keen to hear from anyone who was driving around 8.55pm and has dashcam footage of the Fiesta or other vehicles travelling along that road.
