'Nothing suspicious' found after part of Warwickshire hospital evacuated

Warwickshire Police have told us that 'nothing suspicious' was found after part of George Elliot Hospital, Nuneaton was evacuated this morning.

It follows a concern raised about a ticking noise coming from a bin inside a café inside the hospital.

The area was cleared and searched, but officers found nothing which posed a risk to the public.

A Warwickshire Police spokesperson said: "Officers have been in attendance at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust this morning following concern raised about a ticking noise coming from a bin in the café.

"The area was cleared and searched. Nothing suspicious was found and no risk to the public was identified. The call was made in good faith."
