Investigation launched after Nuneaton cash machine theft

Police believe the offenders fled the scene in a black SUV-style vehicle

Warwickshire Police is appealing for witnesses or information following the theft of a cash machine in Nuneaton in the early hours of this morning.

Police were called shortly after 2.20am to a report of the theft outside a shop on Higham Lane.

Officers have described the suspects as a group of males, wearing black.

They are believed to have left the scene in a black-SUV style vehicle, which drove off in the direction of the A5. A white pick-up truck also believed to be involved in the incident was left at the scene.

A Warwickshire Police spokesperson said: "Enquiries are ongoing to identify and locate those responsible. If anyone witnessed the incident or any suspicious activity in the area, or has any dashcam or doorbell footage which may assist with the investigation, please call Warwickshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 20 of 25 May 2022.

"Information can also be given anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their website."
