Coventry City could be facing another injury blow after manager Mark Robins confirmed Milan van Ewijk's believed to have suffered a significant tear to his calf muscle.

The news comes after the wing-back hobbled off in the 53rd minute of the Sky Blues Championship loss to Cardiff City on Tuesday night.

Speaking to media, Robins said:

"It's not looking good. He has a significant tear in his quad.

"We don't know how long he is going to be out for and he is not showing many symptoms, but the scan suggests he has a significant tear in his quad.

"We are still waiting for that report to be read by the radiologist but it does not look good."

The injury news comes following midfielder Ben Sheaf being ruled out for a minimum of six weeks.

The Sky Blues face Huddersfield Town on Monday night.
