Murder investigation launches in Ross-on-Wye

A 39-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene in Bluebell Close, Ross-on-Wye.

A man, 40, and a woman, 39, have been arrested after officers were called to Bluebell Close, Ross-on-Wye, at around 9:30 yesterday morning (2 October) after getting reports of an altercation.

The victim - a 39-year-old man - has sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man was arrested on suspicion of murder and the woman was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Both are in police custody.

Detective Inspector Stephen Cook said: “This is a shocking incident and our thoughts go out to the family of the man who lost his life.

"This is an isolated incident and there is no wider risk to the public."

“I understand that incidents of this nature can be alarming, but would like to reassure the local community that this is an isolated incident and there is no wider risk to the public.

“You may see an increased police presence in the area over the coming days as our investigation continues.”

Police are appealing to anyone who may have information, including dashcam footage or CCTV.
