A motorcyclist has been killed in a crash with a car in Worcestershire, paramedics have said.

The crash happened at the junction of the A456 and B4194 in Bewdley, with the air ambulance landing at the scene.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said despite the best efforts of staff, including an off-duty student paramedic, nothing could be done to save the biker.

A spokesperson said the service was called at 4.31pm and sent an ambulance, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham to the scene, the first of which arrived within six minutes of the call.

But they found a man, the motorcyclist, with multiple serious injuries.

“Sadly, it quickly became apparent nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene,” they said.

“The driver of the car, a man, was assessed and discharged at the scene with minor injuries.”
