Motorcyclist dies in Redditch road traffic collision
The road remains closed while investigation continues.
Police are appealing for information following a serious collision that took place on the A448 Bromsgrove Highway near Redditch earlier this morning.
The incident, which happened around 7.25am this morning (Wednesday 18 August) involved several vehicles, one a motorbike on the A448 towards to Redditch, just after the turning for Brockhill/Batchley.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s died at the scene of the collision. His immediate family have been notified.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival, crews discovered the motorcyclist, a man, in a critical condition. He was already receiving treatment from a Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance doctor who had stopped to assist whilst driving near to the incident.
“The man received advanced life support at the scene but sadly it became apparent nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed deceased.
“A second patient, a woman, was treated for the effects of shock and taken to the Alexandra Hospital for further assessment.”
