Man seriously injured following stabbing in Erdington

A 20-year-old is thought to be in a serious, but not life-threatening condition.

A man has been left with serious injuries following a stabbing in Short Heath Road, Erdington, Birmingham,

The 20-year-old sustained stab wound to his chest and arm yesterday (4 July) at around 5pm.

He was taken to hospital and is understood to be in a serious but not life-threatening condition.

West Midlands Police told us: "Neighbourhood teams are patrolling in the area to offer reassurance to residents."

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “On arrival, crews found a man with serious injuries.

“Ambulance staff immediately began administering advanced trauma care before he was conveyed to hospital for further treatment.”
