A man's been jailed for three and a half years after he broke into homes and stole jewellery in Bromsgrove.

Georgel Brumea, 35, of no fixed abode, was sentenced at Worcester Crown Court on Monday 22 for two burglaries that took place in Bromsgrove in January 2018.

Brumea was arrested in October last year for the burglaries after he entered two homes and stole jewellery, including high value watches and £1,650 worth of American Dollars.

Detective Constable Frances Pendleton, from North Worcestershire Neighbourhood Crime Fighting Team, said: “We’re pleased with the sentence Mr Brumea received following extensive work from our team. Burglary of any kind brings great upset to its victims, but theft of personal belongings from somebody's home can have an even bigger effect on people and I hope that this sentencing will show that we will do all we can to bring burglars to justice”.
