Man pleads guilty to murdering wife

He will be sentenced later this month.

A man from Oldbury has pleaded guilty to murdering his wife.

52 year old Legitte Reid, was arrested last December after stabbing his wife Cynthia Turner at an address in Hilton Road.

He pleaded guilty to murder and possession of a knife in Crown Court, he will be sentenced on June 22nd.

Detective Inspector Jim Colclough, from the force CID, said:

"This was a senseless and tragic act of violence which took the life of a beloved mother.

"Our thoughts remain with Cynthia’s family at this difficult time."
