Police are appealing for witnesses as they continue their enquiries after a man was injured when shots were fired at a car in Birmingham on Saturday (20 Jan).

The victim, in his 30s, remains in hospital today with injuries which are thankfully not life-threatening.

The incident was shortly after 6pm in Coventry Road, South Yardley and investigators have been carrying out door-to-door enquiries and are reviewing CCTV footage from the area.

Police are also asking anyone we've not yet spoken with to get in contact.

Or if you were driving in Coventry Road, Heybarnes Road or Hob Moor Road between about 5.45pm and 6.15pm, police ask you take a look at dashcam footage, as it may hold vital information to assist with enquiries.

Police in the area say they understand such incidents can be upsetting and unsettling and that neighbourhood teams are continuing to carry out extra patrols in the area to offer reassurance.
