Man dies following Sutton Coldfield collision

Another man was also injured.

Police are investigating after a man, aged 28, has died following a collision in Sutton Coldfield.

Emergency services were called to A38 Sutton Coldfield Bypass shortly after 10.30pm last night (27 Oct) to a collision involving a tanker lorry and a black BMW 140i car.

Sadly, the driver of the BMW was pronounced dead at the scene.

The passenger of the BMW, a 19-year-old man, was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life threatening.

The driver of the lorry is assisting with police inquiries enquiries.

Road closures in the area have now been lifted.
