Man dies after reports of disturbance in Exhall

A man has died following a report of a disturbance in Exhall this morning (Thursday).

Police were called to the incident, which happened at around 8.45am today.

Officers say enquiries are in there very early stages and there is a large police presence in the area.

In a statement, West Midlands Ambulance said:

“We were called at 8:50am to reports of a disturbance in Treviscoe Close, Exhall. We sent the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance, three land ambulances and a paramedic officer to the scene.

On arrival crews found a man in a critical condition. Staff worked quickly to administer advanced life support to the patient on scene but sadly, despite the best efforts, nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene.

A second man was treated for injuries not believed to be serious and he was discharged on scene. A woman was also assessed and discharged on scene.”

They're asking any witnesses, anyone with CCTV or dash cam footage or anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident 71 of 20 May 2021.

UPDATE 17:15 20/05/2020

Warwickshire Police has arrested a 44-year-old man on suspected murder and four other people for their alleged part in the disturbance. Police say this was a contained incident and presented no threat to the wider community.

Detective Chief Inspector Jon Belcher said “Next of kin has been informed and a full investigation is underway to establish the cause and circumstances that led to this loss of life.

"At this time it is believed that all the people involved in the disturbance were known to each other. Exhall residents should not be concerned by the large police presence today as a full forensic examination of the area and house to house enquiries are made to establish the facts.”
