Man charged with Coventry murder

A man has been charged with murder after a man was found with serious injuries in a street in Coventry has died.

Krzysztof Salasa was discovered by paramedics with head injuries in Brighton Street at around 8pm on 19 August.

The 50-year-old was treated in hospital for his injuries but we launched a murder investigation after he sadly died on 31 August.

A 50-year-old man was arrested on 1 September and has now been charged with murder.

Tomasz Langner of no fixed abode appeared before Coventry Magistrates Court today (2 September) and has been remanded to appear at Warwick Crown Court on Tuesday 5 September.

The family of Mr Salasa have been informed and officers have expressed their thoughts remain with them at this time.

They are being supported by specially trained officers.
