A man's due in court this morning (Saturday) charged with the murder of a man in Handsworth in Birmingham

35-year-old Krystian Debski was fatally stabbed on Soho Road on Thursday morning (22 December).

The 24-year-old from Smethwick will appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court.

He has also been charged with attempted murder after a woman in her 20s and a man in his 40s also sustained stab wounds.

The woman remains in a serious condition in hospital, while the man has since been discharged.

A tribute from Mr Debski's family said:

"He was a loving partner, father, son, uncle and cousin who will be deeply missed by all who knew him."

Police believe there may have been others in the area who may have vital information which can assist their ongoing enquiries.
