Man charged with attempted murder following Coventry stabbing

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a teenager was stabbed in Coventry.

19-year-old Ismail Hussain, from Coventry, has also been charged with possession of a knife.

A 16-year-old boy was attacked in a park off Kitchener Road on Sunday (4 February) - his injuries weren't life-threatening.

Hussain appeared at Coventry Magistrates Court yesterday (6 February) and has been remanded in custody to appear in court on 5 March.

West Midlands Police are still appealing for witnesses to the incident - specifically those who were in the area between 13:00 and 14:00.
