Man charged after Border Force intercept cocaine package at Coventry Airport

Officials seized the Class A drugs last month

A man has been charged with drugs offences after Border Force officials intercepted a large package of cocaine at Coventry Airport.

Isen Shema, 39, of Billing Road, Northampton, has been charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and with being concerned in the fraudulent evasion of a prohibition on the importation of a Class A drug, in connection with an incident on October 26.

Shema appeared at Northampton Magistrates’ Court on October 29 and was remanded into custody. He will next appear at Northampton Crown Court on December 10, 2021.
