Man arrested over fatal car crash in Rowley Regis

A man in his 20s died in the collision in Penncricket Lane.

A man has died following a collision in Rowley Regis.

It happened on Penncricket Lane shortly after 5.30am this morning (29 April).

Police said the car hit a lamppost and a passenger in his 20s sadly suffered fatal injuries.

A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and officers remain at the scene carrying out enquiries.

Another man was taken to hospital with a broken arm and another with minor head injuries.

The road will be closed and the scene kept in place for most of today.
