Our detectives arrested an 18-year-old man from an address in Highgate at around 6am on Friday morning (23 April) on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.
He remains in police custody.
Detective Chief Inspector Stu Mobberley, from our homicide team, said:
“It’s clear from our initial investigations that this is a complex case – but we have made good early progress and made one arrest.
“Our enquiries are continuing at pace and we now have a good understanding of what we believe led up to the man’s death.
“We’re still appealing for witnesses or anyone with information about the killing to get in touch. They can talk to us in confidence or contact the charity Crimestoppers anonymously.”
