Dozens of firefighters have been tackling a large fire at a warehouse and industrial building in central Birmingham.

Fire crews were called out in the early hours of this morning. At its peak around 70 were fighting the flames.

The building involved is a warehouse and industrial building off MacDonald Street, between Charles Henry Street and the River Rea.

There are no reports of any injuries.

Fire crews now say they're damping down and trying to find hotspots in the building. The number of crews at the scene has been scaled down.

Road closures are likely to remain in place for the rest of today.
