A fundraiser is taking place today (July 24) to raise money for two children injured in a hit and run in Kings Heath.

It happened on June 15, near Asda on High Street, leaving the brother and sister, and a woman hurt.

Toni Midlane has decided to organise a fundraiser after her son, a classmate of the eight-year-old boy, decided he wanted to help.

Toni said: "I was left feeling that we really wanted to help the family in some way. I run a drama workshop and felt this was a great way to be able to do something, so this is our little way of helping.

"All the money raised is going to the family and all the little boys in the class know what the money is being spent on but it is a surprise."

Toni will host drama workshops to raise funds from entry.
