Jon Campion re-elected as West Mercia PCC

The Conservative candidate received more than 55% of the votes

Jon Campion will now spend a second term as Warwickshire's Police and Crime Commissioner.

He received 179,411 votes, or 5%, meaning he won in the first round of counting today (10th May).

Mr Campion beat three other candidates to the role.

Just over 324,000 voters went to the poll, 32% of the electorate.

Mr Campion received a further 110,000 first votes compared to 2016. Its a rise of 21% compared to the last elections.

The poll was due to take place last year but was postponed 12 months due to the pandemic.
