Investigation underway after woman hit by car in Aston
It happened around 9am this morning.
West Midlands Police are investigating after a woman was seriously injured in a collision in Aston this morning.
Officers were called to Witton Lane just before 9am.
A woman suffered serious injuries when she was hit by a car as she crossed the road.
She was taken to hospital by paramedics.
The driver is assisting officers with their enquiries and the road near its junction with Aston Hall Road remains closed while the investigation continues.
