West Mercia Police says a woman in Bromsgrove has been sexually assaulted by a hooded man in the middle of the night.

Police say a man approached the woman in the Aston Fields area of the town and asked for directions.

But he then followed her towards the town centre where he touched her inappropriately.

It happened between 12.10am and 1am on Sunday 28th May, police said, but officers didn't appeal for information until Friday.

The man has been described as black with short dark hair.

At the time of the assault, he had a hood over his head and was wearing a navy jacket and light-coloured trousers.

Anyone with any information has been asked to contact DC Shelley Punshon at shelley.punshon@westmercia.police.uk.
