Herefordshire man pleads not guilty to killing baby girl in Gloucestershire

A man and a woman have appeared in court charged with killing a baby girl in Gloucestershire.

Four-month-old Lexi Wilband, from Newent, was admitted to hospital on April 12 2020 and died six days later.

27 year-old Melissa Wilband, of Newent and 30 year-old Jack Wheeler, of Ledbury, Herefordshire, are charged with manslaughter and causing or allowing the death of a child - they pleaded not guilty to all the charges.

The pair were released on conditional bail and a trial date has been set for next year.
