Five year football ban for man who made racist gestures at West Brom match

A football fan has been banned from all games for five years after making racist gestures and remarks at a match.
Kaine Lewis was in the away end when he was spotted by officers at the West Bromwich Albion versus Millwall fixture in September.
His actions were aimed towards the home fans and Lewis was quickly removed from The Hawthorns and arrested.
Lewis initially denied any wrong-doing and a subsequent investigation was carried out by football hate crime officer at West Midlands Police, PC Stuart Ward.
CCTV was secured and showed him making racist gestures which supported the accounts of officers on duty that day.
It led to Lewis pleading guilty at his first appearance at Dudley Magistrates Court last Thursday (25 November).
The 34-year-old from Kent was given a five year banning and a suspended four month prison term. He was also ordered to carry out 200 hours unpaid work.
PC Ward said:
"This was not only disgusting behaviour but distressing for others who were at the stadium to see and hear.
"Lewis is old enough to know this is unacceptable and there's no excuse for such appalling actions.
"We won't tolerate racism, or any form of hate crime, within stadiums and we'll continue to take action against offenders."
