Motorcyclist killed in Birmingham road collision

The 30-year-old man was found with serious injuries soon after 6am yesterday (9th October)

West Midlands Police are investigating after a fatal collision in Birmingham yesterday morning (9th October).

A motorbike rider was found with serious injuries on Heartlands Parkway, Nechells, just before 6.10am.

The 30-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers are now trying to work out what happened, and are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time to get in touch.

Part of the road was closed during the day yesterday.

In a statement, West Midlands Police added: 'Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who has tragically lost his life and we'll be offering them support at this deeply traumatic time.
