EFL approve Birmingham City share acquisition

It is another step nearer to a deal being confirmed.

The EFL have approved the 45% acquisition of Birmingham City from Shelby Companies Limited.

The group are a subsidiary of his Knighthead Capital Management Group by American financier, Tom Wagner.

The deal is still waiting for approval in accordance with the rules of Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

City finished the current Championship season in 17th place.
