A Dudley NHS Trust will be sentenced at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court following the death of two patients in 2018.

The Trust pleaded guilty to not providing safe care and treatment for the two patients, admitting there was "significant risk of avoidable harm" over their deaths.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) brought the prosecution following the two separate incidents at Russells Hall Hospital in 2018.

33-year-old Natalie Billingham died from multiple organ failure caused by a severe infection on March 2.

14-year-old Kaysie-Jane Bland also passed away a few days after from a build up of fluid on her brain and sepsis.

The sentencing hearing will begin at 10am today (Thursday 18 November) and is expected to last two days.
