Jack Evans, aged 22, from Ploughman’s Court in Droitwich, was sentenced on Thursday 26 August at Worcester Crown Court after he pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin and possession of cannabis.

On 1 December 2020 Officers from Droitwich Safer Neighbourhood Team, assisted by the Local Policing Priorities Team, executed a drugs warrant at Ploughman’s Court, Droitwich.

Inside the address a large quantity of suspected class ‘A’ drugs were found. The drugs were later examined and identified to be crack cocaine and heroin, with an estimated street value of £6800. Cannabis was also located inside the address.

PC Rich Rees from Droitwich Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “This is a lengthy sentence and should act as a warning to others who might consider selling drugs. The Droitwich Safer Neighbourhood Team has invested a lot of time, targeting drug dealing within the town, the presence of class ‘A’ drugs has a knock on effect and can lead to increasing violent crime, thefts and anti-social behaviour.

"I am grateful that resident’s in the area have reported their suspicions to police and that we have been able to take action to resolve the problem”.
