Crash between tram and lorry causes delays in Birmingham city centre

Traffic has been backed up to Five Ways.

There's been disruption to travel for many in Birmingham after a large lorry reversed into a West Midlands tram.

There are reports the lorry reversed into the metro on the Gas Street Junction on Broad Street.

After the collision was reported around 10am, no traffic was able to move in either direction.

National Express West Midlands has written on X to say, that bus services 9 and X10 have been diverted via Sheepcote Street, St Vincent Street and King Edward Road.

It has now been updated on X that the road has been cleared.
