The programme for Coventry City of Culture 2021 is set to be expanded today.

We're expecting further events will be announced this lunchtime, to be held over 12 months of celebrations.

It's due to start in just over two months time.

16 events were announced last year, include the 'Coventry Moves' opening event on the 15th May.

Organisers are hoping it will see the city transformed, rising from adversity in a spectacular performance, a celebration and a collective movement.

Coventry Moves

Last week, they launched their volunteers programme, where they're looking for 5000 people to help them over the coming 12 months.

The 'City Hosts' will perform a variety of roles in Coventry and Warwickshire, which include providing a friendly welcome and supporting visitors and event spectators to navigate around the city.
