Today marks 100 days until Coventry's year as UK City of Culture begins.

It was supposed to be starting in January, but was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It's now due to kick off on Saturday 15th May, with an opening event which is planned to take place across Coventry City Centre.

Preparations are well underway despite the coronavirus lockdown.

16 events have been announced for the year so far, which will run until May 2022.

Today, a working lunch was held with numerous organisations from across the city, discussing how businesses can engage with City of Culture.

The team putting on the celebrations have already put on some events, including Coventry Glides, the ice skating rink in the ruins of the Cathedral.

Later this month, streets across Coventry and Warwickshire will light up their front windows and gardens and become walking trails, as part of Window Wanderland

Ten areas across the region are taking part from the 20th February.
