Child left injured after Coventry crash

Emergency services were called to a busy stretch of road this morning

A child has been left with minor injuries following a crash involving a car and a van in Coventry this morning.

Emergency services were called to Ansty Road shortly after 8am.

The boy was treated for his injuries at the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 08.16 to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a van on Ansty Road, Coventry. One ambulance attended the scene.

"On arrival, we found one patient, a child, he was assessed on scene and had sustained minor injuries, he received self care advice and was discharged on scene.

"The drivers of the car and the van did not require assessment."
