A Broadway man has received a three-year sentence following four burglaries.

Connor Reeve, 19, of Wyckham Court, Buckland Road, Childswickham, Broadway in Worcestershire today appeared at Worcester Crown Court and was handed the sentence.

The sentencing is in relation to the burglaries of Ashton Under Hill Farm shop in Evesham, Melrose Close in Worcester on 20 June, and properties in Lansdowne Street in Worcester on 21 June and Tearne Street in Worcester on 7 October.

A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: “Burglary brings such upset and unsettlement to victims. I am pleased with the sentence Mr Reeve has received and hope it sends a message to other young people that becoming a criminal has severe consequences.

“Our team supported the victims through this traumatic experience, one of which was a 91-year-old lady whose house was burgled whilst she was asleep and Mr Reeve stole jewellery from her bedside table next to her”.
