Birmingham is officially the luckiest place to live according to The National Lottery.

England’s second city has come out first with 205 millionaires created since the National Lottery began in 1994, which is one every seven weeks.

And it's getting luckier - in the last three years alone, 35 people have become millionaires across the city, approximately one a month.

Retired teacher Celeste Cole is one of these lucky winners, banking 3.8 million pounds last summer.

She said: "It still doesn't feel real and I don't even know if it ever will. I don't know when it will hit me that I'm a multi-millionaire, it's unbelievable."

Since winning Celeste has taken her whole family to Barbados. She said it was incredible to take her mother back there after 60 years.

"I want to say to my fellow brummies, I won and you can too!" she said.

Kathy Garrett, Winners Experience Lead at The National Lottery, said:" Congratulations to each and every winner. I am extremely fortunate to be there at the moment we confirm the win and pay the prize.

"It is wonderful to witness the incredible difference a big win can make to the lives of a winner and the people they care about."
