Birmingham man due in court accused of Worcestershire murder

A woman was was found dead in Worcestershire last week has been named as Kerry Owen.

The 35-year-old was discovered on Wast Hills Lane in the Hopwood area on Friday (27 May)

Alan Edney, aged 30, of Kenilworth Road, Birmingham has been charged with her murder and remanded to appear at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 31 May.

A 51-year-old man arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released under investigation.

Wast Hills Lane has now re-opened.
