A 4 year old from Sutton Coldfield is chasing a Guinness World Record to become the youngest person to publish a book and a series simultaneously.

Jayce Joyce published two books on World Book day earlier this month- with plans to write more in the future.

Jayce’s passion for reading and writing started as early as 15 months.

By the time Jayce was about to leave Nursery, he was encouraged by his teachers to start exploring story structure and begin writing his own stories.

Jayce says loves to play with language, with silly rhymes and funny alliterations and incorporates writing in his play.

He wants to inspire people to "use their imagination" try writing their book.

He said: "I want people to read my stories and write their own stories like me."

Jayce is planning on multiple book signings across Birmingham:

  • Saturday 25th March - Mere Green Library (2 - 4pm)
  • Saturday 1st April- Curborough Community Centre (1:30-4pm
  • Saturday 15th April - Bear Bookshop, Smethwick (From 2pm)
