Azaylia was born in October 2020 but when she was just a few months old, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia - a rare form of childhood cancer.

Her parents, ex-Coventry City football player Ashley Cain and Safiyya Vorajee, then launched a fundraiser in March to raise money for specialist treatment in Singapore.

However, on the 24th April, 8 month old Azaylia Cain passed away.

In a statement, Azaylia's dad, Ashley said "We would be touched and honored to see as many of those that wish, pay their respects to Azaylia by lining the streets somewhere along the route the cortege will proceed through.

"We respectfully ask all attending Azaylia’s final journey to adhere to the current Covid legislation, to maintain social distancing and to keep within your family bubbles, this will ensure everyone is safe and following the rules that are set out.

"As truly difficult as the day will be, we are going to give it our all to keep Azaylia’s day an uplifting day of remembrance for her life and encourage anyone attending to show their love by clapping and making joyous noise of celebration as the cortege goes by!"

The cortege will drive through Nuneaton town, starting at Croft Road at 10am today (20th May).

Her family have asked mourners to wear orange and clap for her.

Antony Nolan charity say 56,000 people have signed up to their stem cell register since her fundraiser was launched in March.

More than £1.6 million was raised for treatment but Azaylia's parents say the money will now be used to set up a children's charity in her name.

Just days before she died, landmarks across the world lit up in orange to mark World AML (Acute Myeloid Leukaemia) Day. It included the London Eye, Blackpool Tower and the Niagara Falls.
