Arrests made following gunpoint carjacking in Sandwell
Two teenagers are being questioned in custody.
Two teenagers have been arrested by West Midlands Police and weapons recovered after a stolen vehicle was stopped within half-an-hour of a carjacking in Oldbury.
A man was threatened with a firearm and ordered to hand over his car keys in Bloxcidge Street at just before 4.10am today.
The Toyota was taken but police worked together to track and stop the car near Small Heath, Birmingham.
The force found a gun – which has now been confirmed as a BB gun – and a knife inside the vehicle and further forensic examinations are taking place.
Two 16-year-old boys were arrested on suspicion of robbery and have been taken into custody for questioning.
