Appeal after service brooch stolen from Telford home

The burglary happened on Ercall Lane in Wellington between 4-9 December 2023.

Police are appealing for information after a burglary in Telford in which a significant amount of jewellery - including a service brooch - was stolen.

It happened on Ercall Lane in Wellington between Monday 4 December and Saturday 9 December 2023 when intruders forced entry through a window.

Detective Constable Lisa Morgan said: “During the burglary the victim’s father’s commemorative service brooch was stolen which holds immense sentimental value. I would like to ask for the public’s help in returning this and the jewellery back to its rightful owner.

“I would urge anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area or have dashcam or doorbell footage to get in touch. We would also like to hear from anyone who may have been or been offered these stolen items for sale.

The jewellery stolen included:

  • Silver rain necklace
  • Gold necklace with diamonds and the letter ‘M’
  • Silver and ruby pendant
  • Gold and diamond ring
  • Gold and diamond earrings
  • Diamond and aquamarine earrings and ring
  • Silver earring ring with violets pressed in them
  • Colourful freshwater pearly necklace
  • Commemorative service brooch engraved with ‘Sgt K W HORNER.’
  • Single gold and freshwater pearly earring
  • 9 Carat gold watch
  • Amethyst and 18 carat gold ring
  • Aquamarine and diamond gold earrings
