Police still treating death of man in Worcestershire park as 'unexplained'
West Mercia Police has said while the death of a man in his 30s is unexplained, it's not thought to be suspicious
The death of a man in a Worcestershire park is still being treated as unexplained by police, but not suspicious.
The play area at Abbey Park in Evesham was cordoned off by police on Sunday (9th July) after the body of a man in his 30s was found shortly before 6.30am
West Mercia Police Chief Inspector Dave Troth said on Sunday officers were treating the death as an isolated incident.
There was a heightened police presence in the park, which has been rejuvenated in recent years thanks to major investment.
In an update on Monday, police said: “The death of a man in his 30s in Abbey Park, Evesham yesterday is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious.
“Officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with his death.
“A file has been prepared for the coroner.”
